Job Description**

World Wide Technology, Inc. is seeking a Compute Technical Solutions Architect who will focus on the continued development of WWT's growing Dell business. This position will be part of the Compute & Converged Practice within the Global Data Center business. This resource will be responsible for architecting and deploying new solutions within the WWT Advanced Technology Center (ATC), enabling our regional technical and sales field resources, and working on WWT's most strategic Dell sales opportunities.

+ In collaboration with the Compute Practice Lead, executives, sales leadership and Strategic OEMs, set the go to market strategy for WWT to grow the Dell compute and converged business.

+ Develop and maintain sales enablement content for our field to help them position and sell Dell compute and converged products and solutions. These could be brochures, briefings, workshops, training, advisory services, ATC Sandboxes, and demos.

+ Travel and educate the WWT and/or Dell sales field through roadshows on our unique ability to market, sell and deliver Dell compute and management solutions.

+ Collaborate with professional services to set the strategy for growing our attach rate to Dell compute, converged, and storage products and services.

+ Conduct regular virtual team updates and training on related to our partner's products and solutions.

+ Evaluate and develop Ecosystem Partner relationships that are complementary to WWT's go to market strategy around Dell.

+ Support business development and marketing initiatives as needed.

+ Support ongoing Dell certification and specialization requirements.


**Key Skills and Training**

+ At least 7 years architecting and deploying enterprise-class compute and management solutions, including the following:

+ Engineering experience with multiple compute and management platforms; Dell PowerEdge and Open Manage Essentials (OME) experience and expertise is required; Cisco, HP, and Supermicro is a plus

+ Engineering experience with compute, virtualization, and associated management systems.

+ Engineering experience with Dell/EMC storage is preferred

+ Implementation experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and blades.

+ Working knowledge of key infrastructure pieces connecting to compute including:

+ Virtualization - VMware vSphere experience; VCP preferred; Microsoft HyperV, XenServer, RHEV, KVM experience is a plus

+ Networking - Nexus 2000 Fabric Extender, Nexus 1000v, Nexus 6100 experience; Cisco ACI and Intercloud knowledge is a plus

+ Storage - FC, FCoE, iSCSI, Ethernet, NFS, CIFS, and similar concepts; working knowledge of storage systems (Block, File, and Object) as it relates to solution development.

+ Superior organizational, conflict resolution, time management and negotiation skills are required

+ Interpersonal and communication skills

+ Experience supporting sales and sales development activities is required
