Job Description**

**Network Engineer - ATC**

World Wide Technology, Inc. is currently seeking a Network Engineer to join the Advanced Technology Center team in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of administering a Cisco Data Center Networking Environment, with a focus on configuration, troubleshooting, capacity management and performance tuning. Previous experience managing and administering a NXOS environment and/or enterprise network environments would be a definite plus, as would experience with scripting languages including Python. The ideal candidate will have proven experience learning to manage new and disparate networks to which they have not had previous exposure.

**Job Responsibilities:**

+ Assist in the development and maintenance of the ATC Core Network.

+ Use knowledge of Cisco Data Center Networking to help design, install and support internal and external networks and equipment.

+ Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.

+ Develop and maintain all systems, applications, security, and network configurations.

+ Troubleshoot network performance issues.

+ Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.

+ Provide technical support to users of the ATC.


+ 2+ years of experience administering enterprise networks.

+ Experience using and managing network monitoring solutions (specific experience with Solarwinds NPM is a plus).

+ Experience with Cisco Data Center Networking (NXOS) is preferred

+ Experience with scripting in Python or Perl

+ Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Comfortable working in a very fast-paced team-oriented environment

+ Willing and able to learn other technologies, and assist other Network Engineers as required.

+ Requires a bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

+ CCNA/CCNP certification is preferred.
